Everything around me in the Outer World became real because I desired it so. If my conscious mind desires something and I don’t find it in the Outer World, my sponsoring thought wants it that way. My Inner Self controls my Outer World.
What controls my Inner Self? Past patterns, past beliefs, past programming all clutter the Inner Self, and confuse the Outer World. Basically, my subconscious runs me like a badly written operating system. My job, should I choose to accept it, is to notice the bad subroutines and re-write them in more elegant and efficient code, using affirmations and meditation as the new programming language.
As I’ve mentioned before, I like Marc Allen’s version of Katherine Ponder’s affirmations:
I am a powerful, creative woman,
able to be, do and have
what I want in life,
able to do what I love,
and to do it in my own way.
I affirm, in an easy and relaxed manner,
in a healthy and positive way,
for the highest good of all,
to gently and easily replace old patterns and beliefs that no longer serve me with powerful ways of being that serve not only me, but all life everywhere.

Sometimes, when I’m meditating, I actually lose my sense of connection with the Divine, my sense of the Divine within. I suspect it’s because I’m trying too hard when I’m meditating, forcing the connection. It’s like trying to track “floaters: within my eye: the instant I try to focus on them, they move quickly away. I might live in my head too much; meditating “on” something (a word, a concept, a picture) as I do is rather mental; it’s almost enough to keep me from meditating at all.
And when that occurs to me, I thank the thought politely for attempting to rescue me from disconnection with the Divine, and I continue meditating. If I’m really feeling disconnected, I do yoga, or Tai Chi Chih, or go to a park, or romp with my dogs, or something.
One thing I’ve learned over the years: this, too, shall pass. The feeling of disconnect leaves, sometimes suddenly, sometimes gradually, and I recognize and rejoice in my renewed Divinity.

It is very relaxing to not have to try to do anything to be prosperous, just be my own Divine Self and let it just happen. I feel myself becoming that Divine Fountain, one of the anchor points for the Bridge of Light.
The Bridge of Light is the name John Randolph Price uses to describe all the open hearts of the world connected together. I use a meditation from Roselyn Bruyere to get started. Imagine that you have a small light inside of your heart, glowing gently, but dimly. Now, imagine that you have a dial control for the brightness, and you can slowly turn up the glow, brighter and brighter, and brighter and brighter, until the glow is lighting up your chest area, and your entire abdomen. Imagine that the brightness in your heart gets transfered to the blood that flows through your heart, and carries that glow to every part of your body. As you dial up the brightness, all the places that get touched by the glow also get brighter and brighter. At last, every part of you, every organ, cell, and capillary in your body is glowing with a bright light; even your skin is glowing. Now, imagine that that glow expands outwardly, and meets with the glows that are happening right now, around the world, so that there are networks of light being created all the time at every moment.
I feel more and more of a connection to more and more people in the world, especially those that currently feel less prosperous: I send them Divine Light energy to help them get what they need, for their highest and best good.
I feel the energy coming/flowing from everything on the planet and beyond, all the plants and animals, all the rocks and water, even those things that were fashioned by humans: even those things have the energy that’s part of the same stuff as the stars.
