The Abundance Blog

Internal vs External

I’m puzzled by those who say that I should ignore “the flesh” and concentrate solely on “the Spirit.”  I believe myself to be part of the material world, as the Divine taking on flesh, and to be part of the experiment to balance the two.

I suppose if I look at it from the point of view of mistaking the external appearance for the internal reality, then it would be a help to focus more on the internal.  Money, as a function of abundance and prosperity, is simply an exchange of energy, and there’s something like a critical mass where energy attracts energy.  So, if I allow myself to be more energetic, then more energy will come my way.

I am a powerful, creative woman, able to be, do and have what I want in life, able to do what I love, and to do it in my own way.  I affirm, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in a loving and caring fashion, for the highest good of all, that I am energized!

Manifestation

Do you believe in miracles?  Do you believe that you can get what you want?  Do you believe you deserve what you want?  Manifestation works most powerfully when I believe that it can work in every area of my life, and that it does work in every area of my life, and I believe it in down to the depths of my soul, in my cells; then everything in my life will absolutely work, perfectly and with totally right timing.  Everything that is in my life exists because that’s the way I really want it.  I need to change my desires to change my life.  Focus, focus, focus.

I am a powerful, creative woman, able to do, be and have what I want in life, able to do what I love, and to do it in my own way.

I affirm, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in a loving and caring fashion, in ways that exceed my highest expectations, for the highest good of all, that abundance flows to me in delightful and unexpected ways.

Connections

I preceive my Inner Presence of the Divine as my link with the Universal Divine; I am as limitless as the Universe. The constant activity along that connection is part of the energy that flows everywhere. It becomes a kind of Aladdin’s lamp, where the “oil” or fuel for the lamp is all the limitless energy of the Universe. I am part of that energy, and it is mine to use, and call upon for my highest good.
That energy is also called “Love.”
I am a powerful creative woman, able to do, be and have what I want in life, able to do what I love, and do it in my own loving way.
Since everything I need comes to me with perfect timing,
I affirm, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in a loving and caring fashion, for the highest good of all, that all who read this are blessed with abundance and prosperity, and may we all share in the bounty and abundance that is the Universe.

Devastation and Restoration

When I think of “the years the locusts have eaten,” I remember the end of the show “The Lion King,” when the hyenas have devastated the land through their greed and mismanagement. The land recovers abundantly after the respect and reverence for the Circle of Life is restored.

We are all creatures of Spirit, and as Divine Beings, we are in the process of creation all the time, so why not make all things new again?

I am a powerful and creative woman, able to be, do, and have what I want in life, able to do what I love, and do it in my own wonderful, unique way.

I affirm, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, for the highest good of all concerned, that I am in the flow of abundance and love, and spreading outward to benefit all those I influence.

Layering

Three words come up frequently in the 40-Day Prosperity Plan by John Randolph Price: aware, understand, know. As I understand it, they are layers on top of and within each other:

Awareness: having a concept introduced through the heart intelligence. The heart may even reject it a few times, resisting the unknown and the unfamiliar.

Understanding: after the heart accepts its awareness, it passes that on to the mind. The mind puts all the information together, all the history from the heart along with the other concepts the mind has acquired, to bring it to the level of…

Knowing: where the mind has completely integrated everything. Once something is known, the heart and the mind can rest, for the concept now resides and is part of the soul level.

The concept here is Prosperity.

The concept here is Abundance.

The concept here is without Limits.

I am a powerful, creative woman, able to do, be and have what I want in life, able to do what I love, and to do it in my own way.

I affirm, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all, that I have all the concepts stated above, in my heart and in my mind and in my soul.  I can access these whenever and however I choose.

What if?

If I am Divine (and I am!), then I am lavish, unfailing, rich, omnipresent, a source of infinite prosperity. And what if all that were true? What would it be like? What would my life look like if I accept and become all that? I would have only “positive” debt, all my credit cards would be paid off, I would have a positive cash flow such that I have financial freedom. I would be able to travel, when and where I pleased, and how I pleased. If I wanted to go to Paris and stay in the Ritz Carlton or go backpacking in Peru, I could do that. I would be able to devote significant amounts of money to my favorite charities, doing some good for others besides helping the local economy. I would start a foundation to give away money. I would enlarge or expand the current house, and maybe be able to start fostering some animals. I would build a labyrinth in my back yard. I would be able to expand my practice, and also teach seminars and workshops. I would get laser eye surgery to correct my near-sightedness.

If I am Divine, all this and more is possible.

I am a powerful, creative person, able to be, do, and have what I want in life, able to do what I love, and to do it in my own way.

I affirm, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, for the highest good of all, that I am Divine, and all of what it means.

Inner World vs Outer World
April 10, 2008, 5:03 am

Everything around me in the Outer World became real because I desired it so. If my conscious mind desires something and I don’t find it in the Outer World, my sponsoring thought wants it that way. My Inner Self controls my Outer World.

What controls my Inner Self? Past patterns, past beliefs, past programming all clutter the Inner Self, and confuse the Outer World. Basically, my subconscious runs me like a badly written operating system. My job, should I choose to accept it, is to notice the bad subroutines and re-write them in more elegant and efficient code, using affirmations and meditation as the new programming language.

As I’ve mentioned before, I like Marc Allen’s version of Katherine Ponder’s affirmations:

I am a powerful, creative woman,

able to be, do and have

what I want in life,

able to do what I love,

and to do it in my own way.

I affirm, in an easy and relaxed manner,

in a healthy and positive way,

for the highest good of all,

to gently and easily replace old patterns and beliefs that no longer serve me with powerful ways of being that serve not only me, but all life everywhere.

Gratitude

Someone remarked to me the other day that “Gratitude is such a guilt trip!”  I was a bit shocked and saddened that the spontaneous feeling of honoring and welcoming something into one’s life could be so twisted into guilt.  I know that when I was little, writing thank you letters was a horrible chore:  beyond saying “Thank you,”, what else could you say?  It felt false and forced.  I guess that form of “gratitude” can make one completely shy away off the whole topic.

True gratitude flows from the spontaneous out-welling of love for the giver and for the gift.   I admit that one could love the giver more than the gift, and sometimes the gift more than the giver.  Sometimes, gift giving has been used as a manipulative ploy:  “I give you this, I expect something back” or even better “I give you this, so you must love me.”

The kind of gratitude that uplifts your life and heart and soul reflects the love involved, not the guilt.  The Universe notices the love, and responds with giving you more of what you love.  If you don’t love it, you don’t get more of it – simple!

I love my cats, all of them for all of my life.  They’ve made me laugh till I gasped, they’ve been furry four-footed alarm clocks, they’ve comforted me (and others); I even love them when they break into the box of Girl Scout cookies and feed them to the dogs.

I love my dogs.  They, too, have made me laugh.  They teach me about loyalty, and having fun, and persistance, and gratitude, and love.

I love my books.  I would love to have a library of all the books in the world, in all subjects, good, bad and indifferent.  There’s a wonderful book named “Beauty” by Robin McKinley, in which the Beast has a magic library of all books all across time.  I want that one!

I love my house.  My house stands for financial independance and abundance and personal achievement for me.  I want to stop strangers on the street and say “Look at this place – it’s mine!”

I love my partner.  Simply, wonderfully, that.

I love the stuff I put on my body.  My clothes, my jewelry, my hair decorations, etc.  I like putting them on and feeling beautiful.

I love my other stuff, too.  I have learned over the years that I do not need to possess something just because I find it attractive.  However, I have memories tied up in many of my possessions; they become souvenirs of my life’s journey.  Some things I have I created, so they stand for the beauty that I have given to the world.

I love my body.  I love my mind.  I love my soul.  I love my connection with the Divine.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Clutter
March 29, 2008, 2:16 pm

When I look around me and see all the clutter I have created in my house, I have to wonder exactly what’s going on inside of me to product this outside. Everything that I see outside of me is a projection of my inner self, so this must be what I’m doing inside of me: piles of books, piles of paper, knick knacks crowding the shelves of the hutch. The floors are clear, but every other available surface has stuff all over it! And, actually, the floors aren’t that clear, since furniture fills most rooms.

My feeling of clutter prevents me from letting anything else into my life, be it money or opportunities or even other people. The animals are beginning to look crowded; if the cats weren’t so small and compact, they’d never fit. The dogs are lucky we have a back yard, or they wouldn’t have room to turn around!

As a Divine Being, I have an infinite supply of everything, including time. Given that, I can provide the time to get rid of some of the clutter. I think that if I get rid of clutter, I’d free up the space for infinite supply to come in. Or maybe just manifest a bigger house <grin>. I’d still have to sort all the stuff if we moved!

Why do I have all this stuff? Some of it is avoidance: I don’t want to look at the bills (most of which are automatically taken out of my checking account every month) . Some of the things are what I think I’m going to be using during the day: my notebook for this blog, the book I’m currently reading, the voice recorder with the most recent workshop to upload from, CD’s to burn it on. The piles of books are ones to read in the future; the knick knacks are memories or “just for pretty” (although now their beauty is lost in all the clutter). The shredder is overflowing with papers; the pile is nearly as tall as it is!

The funny part is I have a “system” to file papers; it’s just buried under papers I “didn’t have time” to file…I have bookcases (18 of them), but the books still hang out in piles.

Here’s my daily affirmation, based on Marc Allen, Katherine Ponder, and Jaqueline Aldana’s work:

I am a powerful, creative woman, able to do, be and have whatever I want in life, able to do what I love, and to do it in my own way. I affirm, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all, I take on the challenge of clearing the clutter. I release all blocks, known and unknown, that have gotten in my way in the past, and allow new solutions and abilities to come to me.

Blessed Be!
