The Years the Locusts Have Eaten

Many of us have had bad years; it seems like financial or emotional disaster from beginning to end.  Everything we try to grow gets eaten by locusts.   And when we focus on the lack and the loss, that’s all that shows up for us.  When we keep our minds and hearts on our spiritual connection, then miracles happen.  As I’ve said before, I experience the Divine within as a great golden-white glow within me, that emanates from me, and illuminates everything around me.  My focus this year has been making myself conscious of that glow 24/7.  And here’s my miracle:  because of some problems with an investment last year, I took a loss in my businesses of over $15, 000.  (Definite locust feast there!)  Because of this loss, according to my CPA, I apparently can do something called a carry-back, and apply this loss to taxes I paid 2 years ago (I had to pay almost $10,000 in taxes 2 years ago, because of a different CPA and some investments that didn’t work out).  So, I’m going to get back almost $10,000, restoring the years the locusts have eaten!

When I am consciously connected to my Divine self, I am uplifted and prosperity and abundance are present everywhere in everything.  Since everything was created by thought, my thoughts, focusing on my Divinity, automatically create abundance.  I don’t have to ask for it, it simply is.  Everything, from pen & paper, to the clothes I’m wearing, to the dresser they came out of, to the airplane flying overhead, are all symbols of the prosperity of my life, and those around me.  If everyone has everything, there would be no war.

Divine Equation

I’ve got one, for all you math-challenged metaphysicians:

I am Divine.

The Divine is Abundance.

The Divine is Love.

Love = Abundance

Abundance = Love

Money = Energy (Joseph Campbell: “Money is congealed energy”)

Divine = Energy

Love = Energy

Money = Love = Divine = Energy = Abundance

A really simple equation when you get down to it. When you express more Love, when you acknowledge the Divine in your life, when you have more Energy, Money & Abundance naturally flow. When you deny Love and deny the Divine, you have a lot less energy, and Money & Abundance are nowhere to be found. It feels like hard work to get some, when it’s really very, very easy…

Clutter

When I look around me and see all the clutter I have created in my house, I have to wonder exactly what’s going on inside of me to product this outside. Everything that I see outside of me is a projection of my inner self, so this must be what I’m doing inside of me: piles of books, piles of paper, knick knacks crowding the shelves of the hutch. The floors are clear, but every other available surface has stuff all over it! And, actually, the floors aren’t that clear, since furniture fills most rooms.

My feeling of clutter prevents me from letting anything else into my life, be it money or opportunities or even other people. The animals are beginning to look crowded; if the cats weren’t so small and compact, they’d never fit. The dogs are lucky we have a back yard, or they wouldn’t have room to turn around!

As a Divine Being, I have an infinite supply of everything, including time. Given that, I can provide the time to get rid of some of the clutter. I think that if I get rid of clutter, I’d free up the space for infinite supply to come in. Or maybe just manifest a bigger house <grin>. I’d still have to sort all the stuff if we moved!

Why do I have all this stuff? Some of it is avoidance: I don’t want to look at the bills (most of which are automatically taken out of my checking account every month) . Some of the things are what I think I’m going to be using during the day: my notebook for this blog, the book I’m currently reading, the voice recorder with the most recent workshop to upload from, CD’s to burn it on. The piles of books are ones to read in the future; the knick knacks are memories or “just for pretty” (although now their beauty is lost in all the clutter). The shredder is overflowing with papers; the pile is nearly as tall as it is!

The funny part is I have a “system” to file papers; it’s just buried under papers I “didn’t have time” to file…I have bookcases (18 of them), but the books still hang out in piles.

Here’s my daily affirmation, based on Marc Allen, Katherine Ponder, and Jaqueline Aldana’s work:

I am a powerful, creative woman, able to do, be and have whatever I want in life, able to do what I love, and to do it in my own way. I affirm, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all, I take on the challenge of clearing the clutter. I release all blocks, known and unknown, that have gotten in my way in the past, and allow new solutions and abilities to come to me.

Blessed Be!

Consciousness

One of my “blessings” (revealed by one of my New Year’s Tarot readings) is that I am a “Knower,” one who knows. Awareness + understanding + knowledge = Consciousness. My imagination comes up with multiple images fro these concepts: I see a fountain that is a pitcher of water endlessly flowing into a cup below (unlimited supply); I see an image of angels with clipboards, directing a large delivery truck as it backs up to my front door (“be-e-ep, b-e-ep, b-e-ep”). The truck is filled with bags of money, food, books, whatever I desire from the material world. The truck delivers night and day, whenever I desire.

The Divine Within

I see it at first as a cooling burning white light within my solar plexus/heart chakras, expanded to fill my whole body. Have you ever thought about the substance of Spirit? Rather an oxymoron, isn’t it? But the whole point is how insubstantial and yet all-powerful an idea, a concept, can be. So the divine within could be this (warning to those who flinch at Christianity – Christ image ahead! Take a deep breath, and keep reading…): imagine a man, standing with his legs close together, his head flung back, facing upwards with an expression of pure joy and happiness radiating from his face, his arms open wide, and his whole body glowing with a white energy. Hold that image for a moment…now picture him and his glow in the heart of a cross, his legs and head forming the vertical and his arms within the cross bars. It looks as though he is radiating from within it. And now picture the cross as having subtle features of its own, a head and legs and arms. The cross is us, and the energy is within everyone.

The above was an early attempt of mine to reconcile the horror of an instrument of torture and death of being a symbol for a religion that tried to teach tolerance and love. I finally came to a kind of realization that the cross is the symbol for the transcendence of love over fear. It is not, for me, about the transcendence of life over death. Death always wins. However, what we make of our lives, and how our light shines out, is a measure of how close the game was. I look to the energy within, the Divine within to help me manifest energy in the outer world, and release it for the greatest good of all.

Inner Presence

Lavish again, only this time inside of me – hey, I’ve got my own personal Divine Sugar Daddy (or Momma!). Anything I want, even before I ask for it. All I have to do in return is say “Thank you” and mean it!.

Infinite prosperity – I see the infinity sign, which is my logo. What goes around (coming over the top left) comes around (looping around to come over the top right), and over and over again…

Filled with the Light of Truth: I see a “light tree” where the trunk and all the branches have been covered with lights so it looks like the tree is wearing the lights like a kind of sweater, or a different kind of bark. The Tree is the Source, and the branches are all of us, and we’re all connected by the Light, as well as the inner Sap (strength and truth are the Sap) running through us. Truth of Light, filled is consciousness!

I see my Crown & Heart chakras opening and receiving Divine Source’s Light and touch. I’m not sure I understand, but I know myself as God/dess, and capable of manifesting everything in my life. Again, “Source” is a water image: remembering the source of the Sacramento River at Mount Shasta bubbling up, and remembering the sense of freedom I had there.

Hello, abundant Universe

Today, I declare to the Universe that I am Abundant! I am sharing my abundance in cyberspace, so that others may know that they too are abundant. No matter who you are, regardless of your place, your race, your health, or your circumstances, you ARE abundant, because the Universe is abundant.  Stop noticing the lack, and start paying attention to the overwhelming prosperity.  The Universe is eternal, lavish abundance.

What is “lavish abundance” to you?  I see a smiling, plump woman, in rich robes (late medieval/early Renaissance), with open hands gesturing to a richly decorated dining room, with all kinds of food and drink on the enormous central table.  The furnishings are all beautifully carved wood, gold & silver; the room is lit from multiple fireplaces burning, and many lights illuminating it all so it glows.

In my meditation, I saw a vision of round-cut diamonds, just a few, dropping onto me from above, as from a giant cloth sack.  I changed my position so that my hands were open in front of me, and the diamonds began to pour down on me like rain.

I could not contain the meditation sitting down, so I got up and began to dance, swaying from side to side, sweeping my arms out in great broad flowing motions, like ocean waves.  I then changed to “rocking motion” (from Tai Chi) and began to see myself as the Source, passing on and sharing my abundance with the world, especially in the season, when this hemisphere celebrates renewal and growth.
